• Manager denies Brazilian set for January transfer to Barcelona • Hughes: ‘Those stories do not originate from anyone at City’ Mark Hughes insists Robinho’s future lies with Manchester City despite growing speculation over a January transfer to Barcelona. The Brazilian striker is out of action with an ankle injury picked up on international duty in September. Barça have been linked with a transfer window move for the player, who has not appeared entirely settled since his British record £32.5m move from Real Madrid in August last year. However, Hughes has ruled out such a transfer, insisting the 25-year-old remains a big part of his plans.
